About Shatila foods

Shatila foods is an asian bakery in Dearborn, Michigan. It is listed at 8505 W Warren Ave, Dearborn, MI 48126, which places it among the local businesses of Dearborn that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as food products supplier, so it may cover more than the name suggests.
Hours at these spots often run into the evening, later than a typical coffee shop, and many stay open on weekends when demand is highest in Dearborn. Seasonal and limited-time drink or dessert flavors are common, so a shop's current menu can differ from what is posted online; checking recent photos or calling ahead helps. Some locations in Michigan are dessert-only with no seating, meant for takeout, while others have cafe-style seating for staying a while. Straws for bubble tea are typically wide to accommodate the toppings, and are provided automatically unless you ask for a regular one. Loyalty apps and stamp cards are common at chain locations, and ordering ahead through an app can shorten a wait considerably at busy locations during peak after-school and after-dinner hours.
The business lists hours on 5 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 8 amβ4 pm. Note that it does not open on Saturday, Sunday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (313) 934-1520. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is shatila.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
Its Google rating stands at 3.3 out of 5 from 75 reviews, which is below average for the category; consider the recent reviews carefully before visiting.
Dearborn is in Michigan, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. Getting around Dearborn is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Michigan's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

We have been ordering Shatila baklava for the past 15 years for all our special occasions. Unfortunately something has changed and the quality is not what it used to be. The baklava doesnt taste like it used to and is not as crunchy/fresh. Please go back to the way you were making it before, it truly was the best baklava.

Unfortunately, my experience at this place did not meet my expectations. After being overhyped by friends and families , we traveled all the way from Florida to experience it ourselves. The quality and flavor does not reflect their insanely high prices. The two cakes we ordered tasted like it was in the fridge for a long time, super dry, and wasnβt fresh at all. The womanβs manners were very disappointing-and very rude, her customer service and attitude brought a negative energy to the bakery. However, when I asked for an empty box, the lady at the cashier was very rude. Her name was Danny and she told me to pay for the box because it had extra charge. We ordered Baklava, the pistachios and walnut so dry that we couldnβt tell the difference between the two flavor. For sure would not recommend this place to anyone and will never go again in their bad service .

Ordered birthday cake. Delivered on time. But staff at counter is very rough who delivered no friendly or smiling. Quality of cake is worst. I was really disappointed with the birthday cake I ordered. It tasted awfulβhonestly, it felt like it had been sitting around for days. The texture was completely off, dry and crumbly, with barely any moisture. On top of that, the cake layers werenβt even holding together properly; it was falling apart as soon as we tried to cut it. The flavor was bland and slightly stale, which made the whole experience worse, especially for a birthday celebration. This was supposed to be the highlight of the event, but it ended up being something no one wanted to eat. Definitely not fresh, and definitely not worth it. I wouldnβt recommend this cake to anyone.

Don't give these guys your money. I ordered a single box for domestic US delivery, and I never received it. I never got a tracking number or confirmation that was sent, and it took me emailing customer service to find that it had been wrongly delivered somewhere else a full week ago. Even then, when I put my order number into their website, it was listed as not having been shipped yet. I asked for a refund heard nothing back. I basically threw my money into a vortex.

Always loved Shatilaβs pastries and baklava but something had changed the past couple of years. All the trays I bought lately were dry and flavorless. Please fix this issue! Not sure if the issue is selling old pastries beyond their freshness or not being made correctly! Hoping you bring back the fresh tasty flavors that we were always used to!
